The Fleet series

The Fleet series is a powerful system that is oriented toward a large number mobile users connected to the system via a few radios, like a fleet of mobiles. The system consists of a VirtualServer which allows connections from VirtualRemote (the Gateway between the actual radio and the voip system) and VirtualStation (the Dispatch Console). Any of these modules can be located anywhere and interconnected via LAN, T1, Fiber or any INTERNET connection. All data, voice and commands travel through this IP connection.

Radios use a cable assembly to connect to VirtualRemote, most modern radios have an external connector for this purpose. Most Kenwood radios have a connector allowing control and data to be exchanged between the radio and the computer.

The dispatch console (VirtualStation) can be configured to display different Zones and Mobile groups, each button can be programmed as a Mobile, a certain channel on a mobile or a certain user with a private ID.

By simply clicking on a button and pressing the PTT, the dispatcher can access anyone programmed in the system. As calls are received, buttons are highlited and the display shows the current Remote / Channel / PTT Id alias, this is remembered so he can quickly find this user the next time.

If the radio is a supported Kenwood model, the dispatcher can also have access to GPS positioning and data messaging if the mobile is equipped with a GPS receiver.
