The Pro series is a powerful RoIP system to connect a large number of radios to a dispatch center. All Radios, Consoles, Recorders etc. are connected through a central server which can be located anywhere where you can find an IP connection whether it be a LAN, T1 fiber optic or just a regular INTERNET connection.
Physical Radios are connected to the server with the "Gateway" program and a radio interface module, the standard module can be used with most popular radios and serve not only to connect but also allows the transmission of Dtmf, TwoTone and other types of encoding/decoding. The gateway itself also handles encoding/decoding of MDC.
Dispatchers have full control of which Gateways (radios) are visible at any given time on their individual screens. Any visible gateways can be muted or un-muted at will, the audio can also be directed to the speakers or a headphone. The volume can be adjusted for each gateway separately. This allows a dispatcher to "focus" on an incoming call while still listen to the others in the background.
The Dispatcher can talk to one or more gateways by simply selecting them and pressing the PTT button or pressing the foot switch if one is installed. All functions on the screen can be accessed with the mouse or if desired by using a touch screen. Each Gateway button has the possibility to configure a subset of buttons which can be used for signalling in a multitude of formats and also is also allowed to send private or group id's.
Warbles (Wake Up Alerts), TwoTone, Dtmf, MDC and pre-recorded messages can be configured and sent with the touch of a button. As calls are received, the buttons light up to indicate which Gateway is receiving. The consoles are highly programmable and make extensive use of the "Video" concept, each console connected can have its own "Video" showing up to 100 gateways on the screen at any one time. Consoles can have all or any mixture of gateways visible at any given time.
Consoles "don't care" which type of radios (UHF, VHF, Trunking etc.) are connected to the Gateways, this offers the possibility to achieve 100% interoperability completely transparent to the operator.
If the optional "VoIp Recorder" is installed, all inbound and outbound conversions are recorded for each Gateway. The dispatcher can quickly listen to a recorded conversation by double-clicking on the appropriate line from the call history.
